Slam Jam took to our extensive archive to explore new ways of functionality and utility. A military trench coat and a single-breasted railway coat formed the foundation into research on how to unite both brands and were set as a reference point for fabric and detailing. In accordance with both our and SLAM JAM’s sense for innovation, archetypes are reinterpreted, and traditional techniques applied to a wider product range. Artisanal taping, normally used in waterproof coats, is found in knitwear and a wool pinstripe fabric with reflective properties is introduced which adds a functional purpose to raincoats worn in the dark.
